Comfortable and Complete...

Sunset has a full bathroom - toilet, jacuzzi bath tub (including rain shower) and vanity sink. Laundry facilities (washer & dryer) are located in the walk in closet just off the master bedroom. We supply towels for use in the cottage; but, please bring your own beach towels and toiletries.

The kitchen has a fridge, stove/range, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster and dishwasher and is fully equipped with pots and pans, utensils, dishes and silverware. We believe you will find it quite complete.

We provide (no extra charge) bottled drinking water as most people from Ontario take water quality very serious after the problems in Walkerton a few years ago.

For enjoyment while indoors...

Your hardest decision may be what to do next - soak in your own hot tub, relax in your Jacuzzi, warm up in your own infrared dry sauna or catch a movie or the game or...

The cottage has a 42" HDTV and a DVD player with a home theatre surround sound system. You should never be short of shows to watch as we have a full HDTV satellite service television with 450+ TV/radio/music channels. We get almost all available sports and movies (except adult) channels. Decks of cards and board games are also provided.

We recommend that you leave your laptop at home; but, for those that must be in touch while away we also have free WI-FI (wireless high speed Internet access).

Consider cocooning or quality time together in the quieter seasons at our much lower non high season rates. This is becoming very popular, so book early so you are not disappointed.

Enjoy the outdoors at the resort ...

We have an "all inclusive" pricing approach, so you do not pay extra for the use of any of the resort's facilities.

Use the provided canoes, row boats, cottage kayaks or, pedal boats for fishing (fishing equipment not provided) or exploring the lake and the island. Personal flotation devices (commonly called life jackets) are provided.

Or perhaps you might like relaxing in a double hammock, swimming from the rafts, jumping on the new Aviva water trampoline and playing on the other AVIVA water "toys", playing horseshoes, badminton, beach volleyball or tennis.

Enjoying star gazing - it is awesome without the light pollution from the cities.

As you will have your own wellness spa (hot tub & sauna) you will not need the ones at the central spa; however, the central wellness spa also has an air hockey game which you might enjoy. Also, the sauna at the central spa is a more traditional one (not infrared) and this may appeal to some at least for a change.

There is much to see and do in the area - for more information on this please our To Do and See web page. We highly recommend a visit to world famous 7,000 sq km Algonquin Park - great year round; with the best moose viewing in May and early June.

Open Year round...

Sunset cottage is open year round is equipped for all seasons; i.e. ceiling fans, air conditioner, electric heaters and gas fireplace. From the long weekend in May through Thanksgiving weekend, Sunset is Pet Free - during the rest of the year.
