Guided Canoe Trips are provided by many outfitters, here we give the details for the one day offerings from the Portage Store (on Canoe Lake right off of highway 60).

• “Guided canoe trips are an excellent opportunity to join a group, try canoeing, and learn about Algonquin Park. Group size is limited. Reservations are strongly recommended.

• Your Guided Canoe Trip Includes: An experienced Algonquin guide A complete shore lunch Orientation & instruction Lightweight Kevlar canoe, paddles & life vests. Shuttle transportation from the Portage Store to your starting point (if required).

• We start with an orientation talk about Algonquin Park and provide thorough instructions on canoeing. The trip then begins. As we paddle through the majesty of Algonquin we will show you the wildlife and point out historical points of interest along the way. The trip finishes back at the Portage Store at 4:30 pm.

• Rates and Policies - Rates: $42.95 CDN ($27.31 U.S.; 17.93 UK pounds; 28.15 euros at Aug 10, 2002 rates) per person. For children under 16, deduct 50%.

• Schedule:

• Trips are run, weather permitting. Lifejackets MUST be worn at all times. No alcoholic beverages are permitted on the trip. There are a limited number of spaces - please book early to ensure that you can secure the best time for you.

• To be fully prepared for your trip, you should bring along: A pair of running shoes, camera, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions of the day
